The most comprehensive exhibition of Chris Ofili’s work to date, featuring over 40 paintings as well as pencil drawings and watercolours, is to go on display at the Tate Britain from 27 January 2010. Since his emergence in the mid 1990s, Ofili has built an international reputation with his intensely coloured and intricately ornamented paintings that bridge the sacred and the profane, popular culture and beliefs.”

Great video interview with Ofili in his studio in Trinidad here.
