One of the cube faces is interactive using rear-projection and diffused illumination, basically a big multitouch screen! users can wipe away the graffiti to expose the underlying layers and sneak a peek into the history of the graffiti wall. Another face of the cube is a video installation, also rear-projected from inside of the cube. the video piece was created by Maddi Boyd (KissKiss) and Oliver Heath.
The installation is exhibiting at the Viva La Gong festival in Wollongong, Australia from 2-7 Nov, 2009

Mathematics, geometry, symmetry, color and form are exquisitely executed in Nigerian designer Lisa Folawiyo’s line Jewel by Lisa. Part of the Arise Promise of Africa Collective at New York Fashion Week.
Folawiyo uses the highest quality Ankara from the Vlisco-Hollandis brand and is frequently mixed with fabrics as wide ranging as taffeta, linen, cotton, chiffon, chantilly lace, and silk. With each embellishment of the fabric with sequins, swarovski crystals and beads hand sewn carefully onto the fabric, a JBL garment on average will take about 120 hours to make. All of her garments are handmade in workshops in Lagos, Nigeria.

Sublime visuals for Nosaj Thing from Adam Guzman and Julia Tsao.
“The live show for Nosaj Thing, a collaboration with Julia Tsao. Video clips are the formatted for mixing in Modul8. Each clip belongs to a certain part of a song. We triggered and manipulated each clip live with 2 midi controllers. Our performance is focused around disorientation and using the projector as a light source. The first half of the show is dedicated to slowly building a visual style. The images are black and white lines and squares. The positive/negative space is used to create rhythm that is synced with the audio. As the set progresses, the imagery becomes less abstract and focused less on light. Patterns begin to form and space begins to open as if the two dimensions exploded into a third. The relationship the graphics create with the performer is interesting. As the graphics become more spatial, the performer flattens, becoming a 2-D cutout version of himself.”

The Stealth Project developed as an offshoot from ‘Ocean of Light’, a research project exploring the creative possibilities of volumetric (or 3D) visualisation techniques, and nontactile 3-dimensional interaction.
Recent Squidsoup experiments using a Baby NOVA (the physical centrepiece of this project) suggested that this kind of three-dimensional light grid has considerable potential for abstract gaming applications.
NOVA, the world’s first full-colour real 3D LED (light emitting diodes) video screen, was conceived to visualize scientific data dynamically in three dimensions. NOVA is modular and expandable – a NOVA system installed at Zurich’s main train measures 5 x 5 x 1m and consists of 25,000 points of light in 3D space.
