Katy Perry starred in a new Christmas campaign for Gap and performed a cover of The Beatles song “All You Need Is Love”. The singer shared a video on her Instagram.
In the video, Katy wakes up, goes to the gym, tidies up and goes to the studio. There she performs a song, accompanying herself on the guitar. In the video, you can see several images from the new Gap collection on both the performer and the other actors;
“To reimagine one of the most recognizable and emotional songs of our time with an iconic brand like Gap, conveying such a special and important message, is a dream come true,” Perry said.
The singer revealed that her first paying job at 16 was as a clothing stacker at a Gap store in Santa Barbara, California.
The cover was released Oct. 25, Perry’s 37th birthday. The singer revealed that one dollar from each download of the track on Spotify will go to Baby2Baby, a charity dedicated to helping underprivileged children.
